Janitor

About the role

As a Janitor at RWB Thrift you will be responsible for keeping the store clean, organized and welcoming for customers. You will work on the sales floor, restrooms, break rooms and other common areas, ensuring they meet high cleanliness standards. You will also manage waste disposal and support a positive shopping experience by ensuring carts are available.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize the sales floor, restrooms, break rooms and other store areas.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and surface wiping.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and separate waste according to store procedures.
• Collect shopping carts or baskets from entrances or parking areas and return them to designated locations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in thrift, retail, warehouse or customer‑facing roles is a plus but not required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift or carry up to 25 lb regularly.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive motions, maintain balance on various surfaces and wear closed‑toe safety shoes.
• Must be able to safely perform job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
