IT Technician (Contingent) – Student Support

About the role

Engenix is seeking a contingent IT Technician to support student onboarding and maintain the campus technology environment. The role involves ensuring students have reliable network access and that their devices are properly configured and serviced.

Key responsibilities

• Validate student network access during onboarding and ensure all requirements are met.
• Provide hardware and software support for student devices, including HDD replacement, RAM upgrades, system convergence, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Document faults, remediate issues, and close tickets in the local ticketing system.
• Monitor help‑desk phones, create tickets on behalf of callers, and issue IT equipment to classroom groups.
• Patch and image machines, keep systems up‑to‑date, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Security+ certification and ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and provide good customer service.
