IT Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated IT Support Technician to join our multi‑location dealership IT team. This entry‑level position is ideal for candidates with 1‑2 years of hands‑on support experience who enjoy troubleshooting hardware, software, and cloud services while providing friendly assistance to users across sales, service, parts, and leadership groups.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues on workstations, applications, peripherals, printers, phones, and user accounts.
• Monitor, triage, and close support tickets promptly, maintaining professional communication.
• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows operating systems and standard end‑user hardware.
• Support Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 apps, including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Authenticator.
• Assist with Microsoft Intune device enrollment, policy assignment, app deployment, and compliance remediation.
• Perform basic cloud‑based identity tasks such as password resets, MFA support, and mailbox management.
• Provide onsite assistance for printers, copiers, Wi‑Fi, conference room equipment, and other endpoint‑adjacent systems.
• Document support activities, asset changes, and resolutions accurately.
• Handle hardware setup that may require lifting up to 50 lb, crawling, or ladder work.
• Travel to other company locations as needed for deployments or project support.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of help‑desk, desktop, or technical support experience.
• Strong customer focus and ability to communicate with users of varying technical levels.
• Willingness to travel between sites and perform physical hardware tasks.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows operating system support.
• Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Authenticator).
• Microsoft Intune device enrollment and basic endpoint management.
• Understanding of cloud services and identity/access concepts.
• Fundamental networking knowledge (OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi‑Fi).
• Experience with printers, copiers, phones, and basic hardware installation.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
