IT Operations Manager

About the role

LufCo is seeking an IT Operations Manager to oversee and optimize its enterprise technology framework across multiple Maryland locations. The role combines hands‑on infrastructure management with strategic leadership to ensure high availability, security, and continuous improvement of both cloud and on‑premise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage physical IT infrastructure across four sites, including Cisco/Meraki networking, storage, and HPC compute resources.
• Drive total automation for system administration using scripting, monitoring dashboards, and automated deployment pipelines.
• Oversee multi‑site architectures, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and enterprise applications, performing routine maintenance and security scans.
• Support containerized environments (Kubernetes/Docker) and enforce network security compliance with NIST/CMMC standards.
• Provide technical assistance for Google Workspace users and manage Active Directory accounts.
• Lead disaster recovery planning, asset tracking, and system optimization through proactive monitoring.

Required profile

• B.S. in IT, Computer Science or related field preferred; minimum High School diploma/GED.
• Proven experience in IT support, systems engineering, or network operations, with demonstrated ability to lead teams.
• U.S. citizenship required; Secret‑eligible clearance mandatory, TS/SCI preferred for senior scopes.
