IT Enterprise Business Analyst (Workday) – Level 3/4

About the role

The State Accounting Office is seeking an experienced IT Enterprise Business Analyst to configure, optimize, and support the Workday platform for human capital management, payroll, and related processes. You will work closely with stakeholders across the agency to translate business needs into system solutions and ensure continuous improvement of the Workday environment.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and optimize Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Absence to meet business requirements.
• Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements from multiple stakeholders.
• Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose streamlined solutions.
• Develop custom reports and dashboards within Workday to provide actionable insights.
• Create and execute test plans to validate system changes and ensure they meet user needs.
• Serve as liaison between business units and IT teams, facilitating clear communication and successful project delivery.
• Support system implementation activities, including design, testing, and integration.
• Produce functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and other project documentation.
• Mentor junior analysts and share best practices.

Required profile

• Associate degree with three years of related experience (Level 3) or five years of experience for Level 4.
• Demonstrated experience in system analysis, design, development, and relationship management.
• Ability to work in the State of Georgia and maintain legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Workday configuration and optimization (HCM, Payroll, Benefits).
• Data analysis tools: Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI.
• Process improvement frameworks: Lean, Six Sigma, Agile.
• Workday integration tools: Workday Studio, EIBs, APIs.
• Strong business analysis methodologies (SWOT, BPMN).
