IT Administrator - Waltham

About the role

A proactive and experienced IT Administrator is sought to support and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, systems and end-user technology services. The role covers technical support, network and server management, security maintenance and the smooth operation of IT systems across office and remote locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily IT support to office-based and remote employees, resolving hardware, software and network issues.
• Install, configure, maintain and support desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and file services.
• Manage network infrastructure such as switches, firewalls, VPNs and wireless access points.
• Monitor system performance, network connectivity and security to ensure high availability.
• Support Microsoft Azure administration and cloud-based services.
• Maintain endpoint security, patch management, antivirus solutions and access controls.
• Manage IT assets, software licensing and inventory records.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers, and maintain physical security systems such as CCTV, access control and server room security.
• Identify improvements to IT infrastructure, security and efficiency, and document procedures and troubleshooting steps.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT Administration, Systems Administration or Infrastructure Support.
• Experience supporting both onsite and remote users.
• Hands-on experience managing Windows Server environments and enterprise networks.

Preferred certifications

• Microsoft certifications (MCSA, Azure Administrator or equivalent)
• CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Security+
