Investment Operations Specialist
range · New York
Job description
About the role
Range is looking for an Investment Operations Specialist to own the full operational lifecycle of member investment accounts, from application through funding, investing, rebalancing and ongoing transfers. You will run the core functions independently, train associates, and drive automation and process improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Run all four core functions—Trading, Transfers, Account Lifecycle, and Investment Experience—independently and train at least one associate on one of them.
- Own the end‑to‑end trading process, including suitability review and daily rebalancing checks, with defined approval authority.
- Ensure member funds move accurately and on time, resolving transfer issues that could block investments.
- Guide accounts from approved application to fully invested status, clearing operational blockers with minimal oversight.
- Serve as a licensed point of contact for members and a resource for associates.
- Ship at least one automation or process improvement independently.
- Partner with Certified Financial Planners and the broader investments team, gaining exposure to portfolio modeling.
Required profile
- 4‑6+ years of experience in investment operations, brokerage operations, or comparable financial services roles.
- Deep familiarity with custodial or clearing platforms and core brokerage workflows.
- Proven ability to run operations functions without supervision and clearly document processes.
- Sharp attention to detail, sound judgment within approval limits, and a bias toward shipping improvements.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with confidence to interact directly with members.
Required skills
- Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65/66 licenses.
- Experience with custodial and clearing platforms.
- Knowledge of core brokerage workflows and where they tend to break.
What we offer
- Base salary $100,000 – $200,000 per year, plus equity stock options.
- 100% employer‑covered medical insurance for employees (75% for dependents), dental and vision.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan.
- Paid time off, parental leave, and holiday schedule.
- Monthly meal stipend, fitness stipend, and access to cutting‑edge AI tools.
- Annual compensation reviews and early equity exercise eligibility.
- Boomerang program allowing a sabbatical to start a company after two years.
