Investment Advisor - International Wealth Management

About the role

Prestige IFA Jobs is recruiting, on behalf of an established international wealth management group, an experienced Financial Planner and Investment Adviser for its advisory team in Houston, Texas. The firm is a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) offering holistic financial planning and investment management to US and international clients. The role centres on building long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, business owners and expatriates, integrating US financial planning with their international assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, business owners and expatriate clients.
• Deliver comprehensive financial planning and investment advice tailored to individual client objectives.
• Develop goal-based financial plans covering investments, tax planning, estate planning and portfolio management.
• Analyse and incorporate international assets into clients' overall financial strategies.
• Design investment strategies based on each client's objectives, time horizon, tax position and risk tolerance.
• Use established investment research and model portfolio strategies, monitor markets and review client strategies regularly.
• Collaborate with tax advisers, estate planners and portfolio management teams.
• Maintain full compliance with SEC requirements and other regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years' experience in wealth management, financial advice, investment management or private banking.
• Series 65, Series 66 or equivalent FINRA qualification.
• Good understanding of tax and estate planning; experience with international or cross-border clients is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of financial products, investment strategies, portfolio management, asset allocation and risk management.
• Familiarity with financial planning and investment technology.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple client relationships and portfolios.
