Interventionist K‑8 (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Roger Bacon Academy is seeking a K‑8 Interventionist to provide direct instruction to students who need academic support. This full‑time, 10‑month position works closely with content teachers and academic coaches to help students master curriculum standards and improve standardized test scores.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver small‑group instruction using materials supplied by academic coaches.
• Set clear lesson objectives based on assessment data and track student progress.
• Create a supportive classroom environment appropriate to student maturity.
• Maintain records, prepare progress reports, and provide evidence of planning when requested.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators on student behavior and academic issues.
• Participate in grade‑level and staff meetings, serve on committees, and perform non‑instructional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or at least two years of college credit, preferably in education or early childhood development.
• Ability to maintain a clean, orderly workspace and perform basic clerical tasks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 lb and dexterity for classroom duties.
• Strong communication skills to follow oral and written directions and work effectively with staff and families.
