About the role

The Roger Bacon Academy is seeking a dedicated 7th grade Math/History teacher for its Classical Charter School in Whiteville, NC. You will join a supportive environment with a Beginning Teacher Coordinator and Academic Coaches.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Direct Instruction curriculum in math and history for 7th‑grade students.
• Maintain high behavioral and academic standards, using support staff and proven classroom management techniques.
• Collaborate with coaches and coordinators to continuously improve instructional practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education and a valid North Carolina teaching certificate (or equivalent from a partnering state).
• Physical stamina to be on your feet and circulate throughout the classroom throughout the day.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and to the school’s mission of providing a strong educational foundation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles.
• Proficiency in Probability and Statistics and Algebra concepts.
