Interventionist K-5 (Full-Time)

About the role

The Roger Bacon Academy seeks an Interventionist to work with K‑5 students identified for academic support. This 10‑month, full‑time position reports to the Headmaster and supplements classroom teachers by delivering targeted instruction in small‑group or individual settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to eligible students using content materials supplied by academic coaches.
• Design and deliver lessons aligned with school standards and assessment data.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
• Assess student progress regularly and produce progress reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators on student needs and behavior management.
• Participate in grade‑level and staff meetings, serve on committees, and fulfill non‑instructional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or at least two years of college credit, preferably in education or early childhood development.
• Ability to maintain a clean, orderly environment and perform basic clerical tasks.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 20 lb and dexterity for classroom duties.
• Strong communication skills to follow oral and written directions and work effectively with staff, students, and families.
