Interventional Radiology Technologist – Body

About the role

The Interventional Radiology Technologist – Body provides technical assistance for diagnostic and interventional vascular procedures at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. The role involves acquiring and processing images, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the interventional team.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize sterile or aseptic techniques to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Record and maintain procedural data, including injection data, fluoroscopic time, and other relevant information.
• Monitor, clean, and maintain imaging equipment, performing timely repairs as needed.
• Provide training, supervision, and mentorship for new hires, students, and clinical learners.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• Knowledge of sterile technique and ability to maintain a sterile environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in sterile/aseptic technique.
• Understanding of radiologic physics and computerized vascular imaging equipment.
• Knowledge of vascular anatomy, pathology, and contrast agents.
• Ability to safely inject and image human vascular anatomy.
