Internal Consultant – Revenue Cycle (Remote)

About the role

The Internal Consultant will support revenue cycle operations across Ochsner Health, ensuring accurate set‑up of new services, locations, and technologies. This remote position works closely with clinical, financial, and operational teams to maintain data integrity and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate processes for new services, service location changes, and technology implementation.
• Participate in research, training, and education related to projects.
• Escalate issues, recommend solutions, and keep projects within budget.
• Ensure data integrity, quality control, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Required profile

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Business/Health Administration or related field.
• 10 years of related professional experience, or 5 years with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in revenue integrity, charge capture, audit, or revenue cycle operations.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CISA, CPC, or CCS are a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with Epic charging workflow, Charge Router, and workqueue troubleshooting.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.
• Conducting audits, investigations, trend analysis, and root‑cause analysis.
