Interim Health and Wellness Director – LVN/LPN/RN

About the role

Cogir Senior Living is seeking an experienced, compassionate Interim Health and Wellness Director (LVN/LPN/RN) for a 7‑month contract at the Georgian Lakeside community. The role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring resident health and wellness, and collaborating closely with the Executive Director.

Key responsibilities

• Assess residents' health, functional, and psychosocial status and develop individualized service plans.
• Establish and maintain the medication program and ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Oversee hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and termination of licensed nursing and care staff.
• Provide hands‑on training, supervision, and staff development.
• Communicate regularly with residents' families regarding healthcare needs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date resident records and departmental policies.
• Represent the community positively in marketing and external outreach.

Required profile

• LVN/LPN or RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 4 years geriatric nursing experience, including medication administration.
• At least 2 years supervisory/management experience with budgeting and staff development.
• Associate degree or higher; management coursework is a plus.
• Experience in Memory Care preferred.
• Current state certifications (First Aid, CPR, etc.) and ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and on‑call 24/7.
