Intake Specialist (Bilingual)

About the role

The Intake Specialist for the Housing-Related Social Needs (HRSN) Program supports individuals in securing stable housing by conducting intake screenings, coordinating rent and utility assistance, and facilitating a smooth transition to case management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct intake screenings, collect eligibility documentation, and explain program services to participants.
• Coordinate and process rental and utility assistance payments, maintaining accurate financial records.
• Maintain confidential client records in the program database and ensure proper transfer to case management.
• Prepare program documentation and reports for oversight and funding compliance.
• Provide trauma-informed, client‑centered support and serve as the primary point of contact during intake.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor’s degree in social services or related field preferred.
• Experience in intake coordination, housing programs, or social services.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally if required.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish, Russian, or other languages) preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer systems, databases, and standard office software such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
