Intake Attorney

About the role

The firm is seeking an experienced Intake Attorney to be the first point of contact for prospective immigration clients. You will evaluate case viability, guide individuals through complex immigration matters, and ensure a high‑quality, compliant intake process.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Business Development team’s legal strategy to ensure intake information and retainer agreements follow firm protocols.
• Conduct strategic legal consultations and case evaluations in person, via virtual platforms, or by phone.
• Advise clients on immigration options, including removal defense and family‑based petitions.
• Review intake forms and supporting documents to assess case viability and recommend appropriate legal pathways.
• Communicate case details and recommendations to Case Consultants and prepare clients for USCIS or court interviews.
• Draft, review, and submit legal briefs and immigration filings for accuracy and legal sufficiency.
• Partner with the training team to develop subject‑matter content and improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor and active bar license in good standing.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• 3–5 years of immigration law experience, including litigation and removal defense.
• Experience with family‑based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR removal defense, citizenship, and USCIS applications.
• Strong legal analysis, issue‑spotting, and decision‑making skills.
• Experience working in a KPI‑driven environment and contributing to revenue growth.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Experience using CLIO case management software.
• Skilled with virtual communication tools.
