Insurance Verification Representative (Remote)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Central Business Office is seeking a full‑time Insurance Verification Representative to work remotely. You will play a critical part in ensuring patients receive timely care by confirming insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations for outpatient visits and procedures across the UHealth system.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits using RTE in UChart, online portals, and telephone contacts.
• Enter and update accurate insurance information in UChart, including guarantor details, policy numbers, and claim addresses.
• Document co‑pay requirements, create referrals, and generate pre‑authorizations as needed.
• Maintain productivity standards to support patient satisfaction and revenue‑cycle efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Insurance Verification Supervisor and other team members to deliver patient‑centered service.
