About the role

Tarleton State University seeks an Instructor to teach Mechanical Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering courses on its RELLIS campus in Bryan, Texas. This 9‑month non‑tenure‑track appointment supports the university’s mission of teaching excellence, research, and service.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering.
• Develop and update curriculum and course materials.
• Participate in departmental service, committees, and student advising.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research and professional development.
• Collaborate with faculty across the Engineering Technology and Mechanical, Environmental, and Civil Engineering departments.
• Potentially teach summer courses, contingent on funding and need.

Required profile

• Graduate degree (Master’s or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and diversity.
• Ability to work on a 9‑month contract with possible summer extension.
