Instructional Designer I – Finance & Business Services

About the role

The Instructional Designer I supports the Department of Business Practices at Texas A&M University by creating engaging training and learning resources for Finance & Business Services staff. Working under general supervision, the role collaborates with subject‑matter experts to design and produce eLearning modules, video‑based training, job aids, and other multimedia materials.

Key responsibilities

• Apply instructional design best practices to develop effective staff learning experiences.
• Partner with SMEs to plan, coordinate, and produce instructional content, including outlines, eLearning courses, and training videos.
• Create interactive training modules, digital learning assets, job aids, guides, and presentations.
• Maintain and update existing training materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
• Respond to staff inquiries, provide guidance on training resources, and support project communication.
• Assist with administrative tasks for departmental events, conferences, and special training sessions.
