Installation Technician

About the role

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking an Installation Technician and Jr. Data Analyst to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DoD/IC under the Infrastructure Services Enterprise Operations (ISEO) Program. The team supports end-user technology refresh and system sustainment, including installation and support of hardware, software and system configurations, and assists with data analytics such as reviewing data outputs, building automated portals and dashboards, and keeping IT infrastructure data accurate and complete.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, decommission and support customer end-user devices such as desktops, printers, monitors, KVMs, phones, scanners and peripherals
• Deploy new hardware and software, upgrade systems, and manage cables with minimal disruption to business
• Confirm the security posture of network and endpoint equipment in line with DoD and local command requirements
• Maintain technical, operational and procedural documentation for installations, operations and security
• Coordinate installation schedules and work with technical teams, customers and program managers
• Collect, clean, validate and analyze data, and help data scientists find trends and insights
• Build and automate reports, dashboards and visualizations with Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar, and prepare data summaries and ad hoc analyses
• Document data sources, definitions and SOPs, and suggest improvements to data collection and reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, Master's with 2 years, Associate's with 6 years, or high school diploma with 8 years
• DoDM 8140.03 (formerly DoD 8570) Intermediate certification (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC or higher)
• US citizenship; active TS/SCI with polygraph or willingness to obtain and maintain one
• Willingness to travel up to 25% worldwide, mostly in the continental U.S.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and Remedy
• Basic knowledge of PC and network hardware and software, and IT and network security best practices
• Scripting or development tools such as HTML, Python, JavaScript, Java, SQL, PowerShell and Visual Studio
• Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and basic SQL
• Data cleaning, validation and basic statistical methods

Pay range: $73,450 - $132,775.
