Infusion RN – Pediatric Oncology Clinic

About the role

The Infusion RN provides leadership in delivering patient‑centered care within the Pediatric Oncology Clinic, following the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and unit standards. The role involves coordinating care, delegating tasks, and ensuring high‑quality outcomes for children undergoing oncology treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on treatment plans and procedures, adapting communication to diverse cultural and religious needs.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards, and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior work experience required; certification in a clinical specialty is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and judgment skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
