Infectious Disease Physician – Full‑Time Academic

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center‑Shreveport are seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Infectious Disease physician for a full‑time academic appointment. The position is offered at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and welcomes graduating ID fellows. Clinical and research interests include HIV medicine, transplant infections, antimicrobial stewardship, viral hepatitis, and algae infections.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to develop customized care plans for each patient.
• Provide physician leadership and input at all levels of administration, including participation in academic and clinical governance.

Required profile

• Board certified or board eligible in Infectious Disease.
• Eligible for active Louisiana medical licensure.
• Graduating Infectious Disease fellows are encouraged to apply.
