About the role

Join the YMCA of Greater Boston as an Infant/Toddler Teacher, providing family‑centered early education and care for children in the Waltham area. This full‑time position focuses on safety, developmentally appropriate curriculum, and positive role modeling.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize children’s safety and emotional well‑being at all times.
• Plan and implement age‑appropriate curriculum that fosters development.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet individual classroom needs.
• Conduct child assessments and give feedback to parents and caregivers.
• Model YMCA character values and use constructive behavior‑management methods.
• Supervise children, ensure smooth transitions, and maintain a prepared classroom environment.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Mission‑driven and committed to YMCA goals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with families and staff.
• Passionate about working with young children.
• At least 21 years old and meet Department of Early Education and Care requirements.
• Hold an EEC certification and obtain First Aid/CPR, Child Abuse Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogen, and Sexual Harassment training within the first 60 days.
