Industrial Engineering Internship

About the role

We are looking for an Industrial Engineering Intern to join FHP Manufacturing, a joint venture of Bosch Group and Carrier Corporation, in Fort Lauderdale. The internship lasts 6‑12 months and offers hands‑on experience in manufacturing, logistics and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and optimizing manufacturing floor layouts.
• Conduct time studies and ergonomic assessments.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles and value‑stream mapping to improve productivity.
• Support data collection, analysis and reporting for operational performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including production, engineering and supply chain.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial Engineering.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, lean concepts and ergonomics.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work with all organizational levels and thrive in a team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Experience with Value Stream Mapping.
