In-Home High School Tutor (Grades 9‑12)

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors seeks experienced educators to provide one‑on‑one, in‑home tutoring for high‑school students (grades 9‑12) in the Fair Oaks area. Tutors will create a focused learning environment, reinforcing classroom instruction and helping students build confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalized instruction in subjects such as Algebra, Calculus, English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Social Studies, and foreign languages.
• Assist with homework, study strategies, test preparation, and organization.
• Identify academic challenges and develop targeted improvement plans.
• Communicate progress and observations to students and their families.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Valid Virginia teaching license or equivalent credential.
• Classroom teaching experience and strong knowledge of at least one core subject.
• Excellent communication, reliability, and ability to travel to student homes.
