ID and Building Security Access Representative

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Public Safety is seeking an ID and Building Security Access Representative to manage campus ID badges, building access, parking, and transportation services. This full‑time temporary role supports faculty, staff, students and facility managers while ensuring safety and smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with photo ID badges, building access, parking, public transportation, and replacement of lost or broken cards.
• Process sales of ID badges, accessories, parking and transit permits, bicycle permits, background checks, and metal key requests.
• Answer phone calls, respond to email inquiries, and log interactions using call‑center software.
• Program and troubleshoot ID badges and access cards for campus locking systems (T2 Flex, Pro‑Watch, Onity).
• Reconcile daily credit‑card, check, payroll‑deduction and student‑account sales; generate and distribute daily reports.
• Work the Emergency Hotline call center before, during, and after emergencies such as hurricanes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in customer service or security access operations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professional composure.
• Commitment to University core values and policies.
