Emergency Management Coordinator 3

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Public Safety is seeking a full‑time Emergency Management Coordinator 3 to lead complex emergency preparedness activities and maintain the university’s emergency management program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate training programs and drills to prepare staff for major emergencies and disasters.
• Conduct hazard and risk analyses, update emergency response plans, and manage campus continuity and recovery plans.
• Maintain disaster equipment and supplies, ensuring rapid deployment when needed.
• Serve as liaison with local fire, police, and other external agencies.
• Provide oversight of campus emergency management programs and ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant emergency management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Team‑oriented mindset and collaborative work style.
