ID and Building Security Access Representative

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Public Safety is seeking a full‑time ID and Building Security Access Representative. This role manages complex access systems, supports faculty, staff, and students, and ensures safe and efficient operation of campus facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with photo ID badges, building access, parking, and public transportation permits.
• Process sales of ID badges, accessories, parking and transit permits, bicycle permits, and background checks.
• Replace broken or lost access and transit cards.
• Answer phone calls, greet callers, and resolve issues using call‑center software.
• Monitor and respond to email inquiries for parking and photo ID departments.
• Schedule UM Transportation Department shuttles and distribute daily access reports.
• Reconcile daily credit‑card, check, payroll deduction, and student‑account sales.
• Program and troubleshoot T2 Flex, Pro‑Watch, and Onity access control systems.
• Process metal‑key requests, maintain office inventory, and log interactions in the database.
• Work the Emergency Hotline call center during emergencies such as hurricanes.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with experience handling phone and email inquiries.
• Ability to follow university policies and safeguard assets.
• Willingness to work in a call‑center environment, including emergency response periods.
