About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a Night Shift RN on the OMC‑ICU Stepdown unit, providing high‑quality patient care within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. This role involves leading the nursing process, delegating to team members, and contributing to the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care and assess learning needs.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
Use data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
Maintain cultural sensitivity and respect patient privacy in all interactions.
Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations and ensure compliance.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to demonstrate good judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and self‑direction.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
