Hydraulic Engineer

About the role

Chant Engineering is seeking a full‑time Hydraulic Engineer to design hydraulic power and control systems for custom industrial machinery and test stands. The role involves managing projects from concept through start‑up and testing, working closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Design hydraulic power and control systems per customer specifications using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Specify components, perform pressure and flow sizing calculations, and select proportional or servo controls.
• Manage assigned projects, prioritize workload, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Conduct validation and verification testing, provide start‑up support, training, and troubleshooting for customers.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software engineers and manufacturing personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of PLCs and closed‑loop control systems.
• Ability to travel as needed and communicate clearly in English.
