Hybrid Human Resources Recruiter (Generalist)

About the role

This hybrid position supports a nonprofit healthcare center in Suffolk County, Long Island, by leading recruitment and retention initiatives for healthcare and patient services roles. You will partner with Talent Acquisition leadership and hiring managers to manage full‑cycle hiring, onboarding, HRIS administration, payroll processes, and day‑to‑day HR operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment for healthcare, patient services, entry‑level, technical, and professional positions.
• Maintain requisitions, vacancy logs, and job postings.
• Source candidates via job boards, community outreach, schools, recruitment apps, career fairs, and DEI‑focused channels.
• Screen resumes, conduct preliminary interviews, and coordinate interview schedules.
• Process background checks, prepare salary documentation, offers, and onboarding paperwork.
• Coordinate personnel files, new‑hire documentation, and support new‑employee training on a rotating schedule.
• Assist internal transfers, workforce development, and serve as the ADP Workforce Now HRIS resource.
• Handle employee‑lifecycle transactions, benefits enrollment, payroll authorizations, and HR data entry.
• Provide general HR department support as needed.

Required profile

• Prior recruitment experience required; healthcare recruitment preferred.
• 1–2 years of HR management, HR generalist, or related experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with full‑cycle recruitment, offers, and onboarding.
• Professional, customer‑focused attitude and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• ADP Workforce Now (HRIS) proficiency.

What we offer

• Competitive annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000.
