HVAC Technical Support Representative (Remote, US)

About the role

Alpine Home Air Products, the largest e-commerce retailer of heating and air conditioning equipment, is hiring an HVAC Technical Support representative to work remotely from home in the US. You will talk with homeowners by phone who have bought products from the company's HVAC e-commerce site, answering questions about the products and troubleshooting remotely to resolve their technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Speak with homeowners on the phone about products they have purchased online
• Assist customers with product questions and troubleshoot remotely to fix their issues
• Work during scheduled hours, staying at your desk and available for phone calls
• Handle multiple duties in a fast-paced setting
• Travel periodically for hands-on training and product refurbishment

Required profile

• 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional, positive demeanor; friendly and warm with customers
• Self-starter who is ambitious and pays attention to detail
• Able to work with ambiguity, solve problems and work as part of a team
• High-speed internet, stable power supply and a quiet home office free of animals and family members
• Not a flex-time role; open to periodic weekend availability

Required skills

• Demonstrated computer skills with typing at 40 WPM+
• Ability to handle multiple duties at once
