HVAC Service Technician – Commercial Systems

About the role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC systems for a range of client sites in the Greenville area. The role combines hands‑on technical work with clear communication to ensure system reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Review work orders and coordinate daily with dispatch.
• Travel to client locations to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on RTUs, chillers, boilers, and split systems.
• Diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and replace faulty components.
• Service large‑scale systems up to 25 tons, including DX, water‑cooled units, and heat pumps.
• Conduct routine tasks such as coil cleaning, belt replacement, and system start‑ups.
• Communicate system status, findings, and recommendations to clients.
• Document work, parts used, and performance data in the CMMS.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (trade school education preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of experience with commercial HVAC systems.
• Valid EPA Universal Certification.
• Clean driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
• Willingness to work independently and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with EPA and industry standards.

Required skills

• EPA Universal Certification
• Experience with DDC, pneumatic, and electronic controls
• Proficiency using HVAC diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
