Humanities Adjunct Instructor – Part‑time Faculty

About the role

The State of Georgia, through West Georgia Technical College, is seeking a part‑time Humanities Adjunct Instructor to deliver credit‑bearing courses. This position supports students in both classroom and online environments, fostering a strong foundation in humanities theory and practice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, syllabi, and instructional materials for credited technical/occupational humanities courses.
• Deliver instruction in classroom, lab, field, or distance‑learning settings, adapting to day, evening, or hybrid schedules as needed.
• Assess student progress, assign grades, and maintain required documentation and administrative reports.
• Measure and report program learning outcomes to the department chair for continuous improvement.
• Participate in professional development and training related to course delivery.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Humanities or a related discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching area.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to teaching a diverse student population.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard computer applications for course preparation and delivery.
