Human Resources Undergraduate Internship

About the role

Lilly’s Human Resources internship offers undergraduate students a 10‑week, hands‑on experience working on business‑critical projects across various HR teams. Interns will collaborate with colleagues and senior leaders, gaining insight into the pharmaceutical industry and developing professional HR skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver an assigned HR project by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data such as recruiting metrics and workforce trends.
• Research and benchmark HR best practices, industry trends, and process improvements relevant to the project.
• Communicate progress, insights, and recommendations through written updates and presentations to HR leaders and stakeholders.
• Support planning and execution of HR initiatives, flagging issues and adjusting timelines as needed.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Business/Data Analytics, Organizational Psychology, or a related field, graduating August 2028.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and strong learning agility.

Required skills

• Experience using AI tools (generative AI platforms, automation or AI‑assisted research/analytics tools).
• Strong analytical and data‑interpretation capabilities.
• Ability to research, benchmark, and apply HR best practices.
