Human Resources Specialist – Hiring Coordinator

About the role

The Illinois State Police Division of Human Resources is hiring two detail‑oriented, service‑focused Hiring Coordinators to support civilian recruitment and ensure compliance with bargaining unit agreements and agency policies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the full civilian hiring process from posting to onboarding.
• Interpret and apply bargaining unit rules, personnel regulations, and agency hiring policies.
• Conduct research, prepare reports, and manage special projects that improve hiring operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Hiring Unit.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple hiring activities simultaneously.
• Experience or knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, personnel rules, and recruitment processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and interacting with stakeholders.
