Compliance & Control HR Functional Processes Supervisor

About the role

The Department of Corrections seeks an experienced HR professional to lead compliance and control of functional HR processes. This full‑line supervisory position will serve as the agency’s expert on leaves, secondary employment, workers’ compensation and related policy development.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Compliance & Control HR Functional Processes Supervisor for assigned areas, overseeing policy implementation and process integrity.
• Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with labor relations, legislative and legal requirements.
• Provide expert guidance to executive management, labor relations staff, union representatives and Central Management Services on compliance matters.
• Serve as the primary liaison and spokesperson with legal, labor relations and management teams regarding HR functional compliance.
• Supervise a team of HR professionals, offering backup support to other compliance supervisors as needed.

Required profile

• Demonstrated full‑line supervisory experience within an HR environment.
• Deep knowledge of HR compliance areas such as leave administration, secondary employment and workers’ compensation.
• Proven ability to develop and interpret HR policies, and to advise senior leadership on compliance issues.
• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with executive staff, labor relations, unions and central management services.
