Human Resources Generalist - Strategic Talent Business Partner

About the role

Ryan is hiring a Human Resources Generalist in Plano, Texas, a highly visible hands-on position supporting the firm's human capital lifecycle. The role focuses on new employee onboarding, employee changes, transfers and departures, file maintenance and departmental reporting, with extensive interaction across all levels of employees and with other HR colleagues in Ryan's global offices.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate HR policies, procedures, laws and regulations with employees and management, and answer sensitive HR and benefits questions
• Investigate and resolve employee relations issues and grievances
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, transfers, promotions, departures and exit interviews, and coordinate work visas
• Handle unemployment claims and appeals, and assist with leave of absence and FMLA tracking
• Create and maintain job descriptions, and administer the performance evaluation system
• Maintain HRMS data integrity, the online policies and procedures, and HR content on internal and external websites
• Support acquisition due diligence and employee integration, and maintain affirmative action records and the EEO-1 report
• Run employee recognition programs, write reports and queries, and recommend improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
• One to three years of HR generalist experience, including exposure to employee relations, employment and labor laws, benefits and compensation
• No supervisory responsibilities; independent travel of 5-10%

Required skills

• Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, HRIS and Outlook
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred
