Human Resources Generalist

About the role

Join the Global People Team at American Airlines as a Human Resources Generalist. You will partner with People Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to support leaders and employees, ensuring smooth HR operations while contributing to a vibrant, inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities

• Support leaders in employee‑relations investigations and provide guidance on performance management, career development, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
• Mediate and resolve HR‑related queries from team members, and handle daily operational requests for the assigned business unit.
• Leverage data and metrics to improve policies, processes, and training; collaborate with the ADA team on accommodation requests.
• Respond to benefit questions, assist with compensation and benefit program administration, and track compliance with required training.
• Partner with People Business Partners on talent strategy, learning & development, DEI initiatives, and culture‑building activities.
• Manage work authorization, onboarding, stay and exit interviews, and ensure timely leadership goal entry.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of HR experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional maturity to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
