Human Resources Director

About the role

The Human Resources Director leads all aspects of the Bank's HR function, managing the full employee lifecycle and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, the role operates independently while partnering with executive management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning, maintaining accurate personnel records.
• Administer day‑to‑day HR operations including employee relations, compensation, benefits, leave, payroll, performance management, and policy compliance.
• Develop and deliver training programs required by law and to promote the Bank’s core values.
• Maintain HR policies, employee handbook, and governance documents, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct workplace investigations, provide coaching to leadership, and manage employee counseling and corrective actions.
• Oversee benefit plan administration, annual renewals, open enrollment, and liaison with benefit providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of progressive HR experience covering recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, performance management, policy administration, and employment law compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple HR disciplines and serve as the primary HR leader for an organization.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, COBRA, USERRA).
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP preferred).
• Proficiency in administering employee benefit plans and coordinating with vendors.
