Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

The Human Resources Business Partner will provide proactive, high‑quality HR partnership to the Investment Banking and Capital Markets division, supporting roughly 2,300 employees worldwide. Based in New York, the role blends strategic advisory work with hands‑on operational execution across the U.S., Canada, Brazil and globally.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with line managers to deliver performance‑management processes, coach on reviews, and ensure consistency across regions.
• Collaborate with Employment Legal Counsel on employee‑relations matters, including investigations, complaint handling and risk mitigation.
• Conduct internal and external compensation benchmarking, support year‑end compensation cycles, and maintain system data.
• Maintain data integrity for reporting and analytics, preparing clear reports for senior leadership.
• Identify AI‑enabled automation opportunities to streamline HR workflows.
• Assess training needs and work with the Learning & Development team to deliver learning programs.
• Support community and engagement initiatives to strengthen culture and connectivity.
• Partner with recruiting teams on lateral and campus hiring, compensation packages, approvals and onboarding.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a global, highly matrixed financial‑services organization.
• Experience supporting Investment Banking or other front‑office businesses is preferred.
• Broad exposure across core HR disciplines such as recruitment, performance management, talent management, promotions and retention.
