HSSE Business Partner

About the role

The HSSE Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor and internal consultant, partnering with leaders and teams to strengthen Health, Safety, Security, and Environment performance across the terminal. You will embed the HSSE Operating System, influence safe decision‑making and support a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Support development, implementation and maintenance of regulatory‑compliant HSSE programs, policies, procedures and emergency plans.
• Partner with leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders to embed HSSE priorities into operational planning and business decisions.
• Coach managers, supervisors and employees to strengthen safety leadership and promote best practices.
• Lead risk identification, assessments, incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor, vendor and supplier compliance with legislation and APM Terminals HSSE standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology or related discipline; advanced HSSE qualifications preferred.
• 3–5 years senior‑level health and safety experience with a proven track record of delivering business objectives.
• Experience leading and developing teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Professional membership with IOSH or similar institution, chartered status preferred.
