Houseman – Roost Detroit

About the role

The Houseman supports the day‑to‑day cleanliness, organization, and smooth operation of Roost Detroit, a boutique apartment‑style hotel. Working closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Front Desk teams, the role ensures guest areas and back‑of‑house spaces are consistently welcoming and well‑stocked.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and outdoor entryways.
• Support Room Attendants by delivering linens, removing trash, and restocking supplies.
• Assist with deep‑cleaning tasks such as carpet care, floor polishing, and high‑dusting.
• Respond promptly to guest and team requests for additional items or support.
• Ensure storage closets and housekeeping areas remain organized and fully stocked.
• Transport soiled linens to designated areas and distribute clean linens as needed.
