Housekeeping Houseperson

About the role

The Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public areas throughout the hotel and supporting room attendants with guest‑room cleaning tasks. This role reports to the Director of Housekeeping and works on varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Stock housekeeping carts and cart rooms to brand‑standard PAR levels across the property.
• Remove laundry from rooms or chutes and restock linen as needed.
• Clean and maintain common areas such as elevators, hallways, stairs, vending areas and guest laundry facilities, including vacuuming, shampooing carpets, mopping, waxing and polishing floors.
• Perform deep‑cleaning tasks and ensure all work areas are free of water, debris or obstacles.
• Handle guest requests, inquiries and complaints promptly, following the “Make it Right” guidelines.
• Follow hotel safety policies, use protective equipment and report any accidents or injuries.
• Maintain personal appearance and uniform standards, and adhere to attendance rules.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping or similar roles in hotels, hospitals or related facilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building skills with guests and team members.
