Housekeeping Associate II – Hospital Environmental Services

About the role

The Housekeeping Associate II provides essential environmental services to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors at Northeast Baptist Hospital. This full‑time, onsite position supports multiple clinical areas, including the Emergency Department, ICU, and procedure rooms.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient care areas, restrooms, hallways, and public spaces using prescribed methods.
• Perform terminal cleaning of isolation and exam rooms.
• Remove trash and linen, operate compactor and cardboard baler, and redistribute linen throughout the facility.
• Maintain cleaning equipment, report repairs, and ensure proper use of chemicals.
• Move furniture and heavy equipment as directed.
• Complete required competencies within the introductory period.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability for day shifts.
• Ability to follow infection‑control and isolation protocols.
• Physical capability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow supervisor instructions.

Required skills

• Operating floor scrubbers, vacuums, compactors, and cardboard balers.
• Using cleaning chemicals and supplies safely.
• Basic equipment maintenance and reporting.
