About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for its Northwest campus. This full‑time, onsite position supports a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors across clinical and administrative areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Follow infection‑control and safety protocols specific to a medical setting.
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards promptly.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and perform repetitive motions.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Required skills

• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and use of cleaning equipment.
• Familiarity with safety and infection‑control guidelines in a healthcare environment.
