About the role

Join the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities as an Hourly Registered Nurse on the evening shift at the Georgia Regional Hospital in Decatur. You will provide direct nursing care to clients in the Admissions Unit, supporting mental health and developmental disability services.

Key responsibilities

Assess client health problems, complete vital signs and document findings.
Review medications and treatments, administer prescribed medications and nursing care.
Notify physicians or psychiatrists for orders and coordinate care plans.
Prepare patients for examinations, maintain sterile equipment and supplies.
Provide health education, monitor diet and symptoms, and record changes in condition.

Required profile

Current Georgia RN license.
Current CPR certification.
Experience in mental health (preferred).

Required skills

Medication administration (oral, sublingual, IM) and pharmacology knowledge.
Ability to perform CPR and operate an AED.
Assessment, planning, and implementation of basic nursing care.
