Hotel Engineer (Hourly) – Atlanta

About the role

Twelve Downtown, Autograph Collection is looking for a dependable, hands‑on Hotel Engineer to maintain the safety, appearance, comfort, and functionality of the property. The role involves preventive maintenance, responding to guest and operational service requests, troubleshooting equipment, and completing repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest‑room maintenance requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, mechanical spaces, and back‑of‑house areas.
• Diagnose and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building issues.
• Inspect rooms and equipment to identify maintenance needs before they affect guests or operations.
• Maintain heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and other hotel systems within scope.
• Complete work orders accurately and document repairs in the maintenance system.
• Communicate unresolved or significant issues promptly to engineering leadership.
• Assist with routine inspections, equipment testing, meter readings, and preventive‑maintenance schedules.
• Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, ladder safety, chemical handling, and use of PPE.
• Support fire‑life‑safety, emergency‑response, and property‑loss‑prevention procedures.
