About the role
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking compassionate volunteers to join the Hospice Interdisciplinary Group in Charleston, SC. Volunteers support clients and families facing terminal illness by providing home management assistance, companionship, and emotional support.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with home management tasks such as light housekeeping and errands.
- Provide companionship, friendship, and caregiver relief.
- Offer specialty services like veteran support, Reiki, massage, pet therapy, crafts, music, or art.
- Serve as a transport escort when needed.
- Help with clerical work, office tasks, and memorial service planning.
- Provide bereavement support to loved ones.
Required profile
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check per state requirements.
- Meet all state volunteer requirements and BAYADA regulations for any professional services offered.
