Hospice RN – Inpatient Care Center (PRN)

About the role

The Hospice RN provides compassionate, patient‑centered care in the Justin Rogers Hospice Care Center. Working on a flexible PRN schedule, you will support patients and families emotionally, physically, and spiritually as they transition through end‑of‑life care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive admission assessments, re‑assessments, and ongoing patient evaluations.
• Identify and document safety risks, abuse, neglect, and manage patient pain effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments with a focus on comfort and safety.
• Coordinate and manage a caseload of hospice patients, updating plans of care as needed.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on diagnoses, medication use, equipment, and self‑care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of clinical experience as an RN, including acute medical‑surgical or critical care.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and prior hospice or hospital floor experience.
